Dangerous goods transports
March 21st 2021
Scanlog has been handling dangerous cargoes (DG) by sea, air, road and rail ever since the start of the company in 2013.
From class 1 explosives over class 7 radioactive material to class 9 miscellaneous dangerous substances such as lithium batteries, our senior operations staff have profound experience and knowledge, and they hold all necessary licenses and education certificates to handle these demanding cargoes.
In preparing a DG shipment, we analyse the optimal routing, transportation mode and operational set up taking into account factors such as licensing/certification requests, safety and security, insurance and liability aspects in addition to the ”normal” criteria of cost efficiency, minimised environmental impact and operational quality.
In close cooperation with our clients and transportation partners we safeguard correct documentation, customs clearance, compliance with international and national requirements, and for extra sensitive cargoes we use secure communication, gps tracking and physical protection.
